1 of the handful of non-custom Nikes you can obtain in wide widths, I wasn't confident what to anticipate from this shoe. I was looking for a stiff-soled shoe (simply because I suffer from turf toe) into which I could put a stiff orthotic insole. Due to the fact I also bought a half-size up, fitting the insole was not a issue. There is a lot of room in the toe box and the sole is already fairly stiff compared to other BB shoes.
One concern I have with the shoe is the heels. They have radiused corners, not a predicament in itself, but the outsole is soft blown rubber which tends to make the foot susceptible to rolling. I solved this problem by wearing ankle support, but would not really feel comfy with no this additional support.
The shoe could use far more ventilation, there are some tiny holes to allow the artificial leather to breathe, but not nearly sufficient. But for a half to a third the cost of top rated of the line Nikes, I give these shoes a four for general value.
I am normally a New Balance fan, but their line of BB shoes is restricted, clunky, and not comfy, even the wide ones.
I purchased these shoes for my Nephew for Christmas. He LOVES them. He said that they look excellent and feel fantastic. He also plays basketball for his 6th grade team, and he mentioned that it works amazing for the games. A fine price as nicely.
